Carolina Active Health Chiropractic · Downtown Greenville · No referral needed · Same-week appointments
Dr. Michael Nelson is the team chiropractor for the Clemson University Athletic Department
Sound familiar?
- That first step out of bed hurts
- It eases up as you warm up, then comes back after
- It flares during or after runs, walks or long shifts
- You've tried new shoes, inserts, stretching or rolling
- Rest helps, until you start back up again
- You want to keep moving, not just "rest it for 6 weeks"
Feeling better isn't the same as being ready
Heel pain usually has a reason behind it: how your foot, ankle, calf and hip are sharing the load, and how your training or workday has changed. Rest can calm it down, but if nothing changes, it tends to come back. At your first visit we look at the whole picture, start treatment that day, and give you a plan to build your tolerance back up so you can keep doing what you love.

Questions
What is shockwave?
Shockwave is a non-invasive treatment that sends acoustic pulses into irritated tissue. We'll only include a trial if your exam shows it's appropriate for you.
What if it isn't plantar fasciitis?
That's what the exam is for. Heel pain can come from several sources, and we'll tell you what we find. If it's something we don't treat, we'll point you to the right provider.
Which option should I pick?
If you're ready to get started, book the $97 First-Visit Special. You'll be examined and treated the same day. If you have questions first, or you're using insurance, pick the free 10-minute call and talk with one of our doctors.
I have insurance. Can I still come in?
Yes. The special is a self-pay offer, and many of our patients use insurance. Choose the free call (or call us) and we'll check your chiropractic benefits before your visit at no cost.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed to see a chiropractor in South Carolina.
Is the call really free?
Yes. The Discovery Call is never billed, and there's no obligation to book anything.
